In Ancient Greece, the Agora was the heart of the city — a place where people gathered, shared ideas, engaged in culture and commerce, and participated in the life of the community. It was a place where the vitality and hum of daily life could be felt.

AGORA takes the Agora as inspiration for design at every scale. From campus planning and landscapes, to neighborhoods of streets and parks, from buildings and homes to private gardens, we aspire to create places that foster connection and community, and that support the flourishing of life.

Aesthetically, we draw inspiration from the great ages of enlightenment in both East and West — periods when philosophy, art and culture sought to elevate man’s understanding of himself and his place within the greater order of the universe. These were times when people aspired toward virtue, cultivated their potential, and awakened to the significance of beauty.

From these traditions comes our belief that beauty is not merely ornamental, but formative. The environments we inhabit shape how we experience the world, how we relate to one another, and how we live.
